Re “Wooden’s a Coach for Life,” Oct. 14: How refreshing to read Robyn Norwood’s story on the legendary former UCLA basketball coach John Wooden and be reminded of his powerful and successful philosophy. It is obvious that no one in the Laker organization ever attended one of his workshops to learn three important lessons: “Don’t Whine, Don’t Complain, Don’t Make Excuses.”
