Britney Spears has decided to step out of the zone -- again. The pop princess is telling fans through her website that she’s taking a break from performing so she can “enjoy all of the simple things that I missed over the past few years due to working way too much.”

Her posting doesn’t say how long her hiatus might last, but goes on to say that “Being married is great and I can’t wait to start my family!” with dancer Kevin Federline, whom she married last month.

“Going and going and going is all I’ve ever known since I was 15 years old,” her message says. “It’s amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive, young, blonde girl and putting her on the cover of every magazine.” Spears recently reached what’s been described as an amicable parting from her longtime manager, Larry Rudolph of ReignDeer Entertainment.

A spokeswoman for Spears’ record company, Zomba Records, said the label’s only comment on her announcement is that her album “Greatest Hits: My Prerogative” will be released Nov. 9 on CD and DVD.
