From Times Staff and Wire Reports

New England Patriot running back Corey Dillon signed a contract extension Monday that could keep him with the defending Super Bowl champions for the rest of his career.

The agreement guarantees the 30-year-old Dillon $10 million over two years and could be extended for up to five years and a total $25 million in base pay and bonuses, said his agent, Steven Feldman.

The Patriots could not confirm the deal. Dillon had a career-high and team-best 1,635 yards rushing with 12 touchdowns last season, his first with the Patriots after seven years at Cincinnati.
