Thundershowers Hit Calabasas, Valley
Brief but heavy thundershowers pelted Calabasas, the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita with rain and grape-size hail Friday afternoon as wet, unstable air trailed across Southern California behind a six-day series of rainstorms.
There were no reports of major damage, but streets were briefly awash, further slowing Friday night traffic.
The National Weather Service said that there could be a few more thundershowers in the foothills and mountains today, but that the weather should be mostly dry through the weekend. There’s a slight chance of light rain late Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
