Grammy gig for Queen Latifah

Hip-hop artist and Oscar-nominated actress Queen Latifah has been chosen by the Recording Academy to host its 47th annual Grammy Awards bash. Latifah, also a Grammy nominee this year for her first jazz vocal recording, “The Dana Owens Album,” will perform at the event, which takes place at Staples Center and will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Feb. 13 on CBS.
