Man Pushing Cart Is Hit by Car, Dies at Hospital

A 62-year-old transient was struck and killed after he pushed his cart into the path of a car, Fullerton officials said Thursday.
The man was crossing the 300 block of Brookhurst Street about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was struck by motorist Lee Yoon, 65, of Fullerton, who swerved and struck a car driven by Daniel Verdugo, 41, also of Fullerton.
The victim, whose name was not released, died at UCI Medical Center in Orange. Yoon, who was not cited, suffered minor injuries. Verdugo was not injured.
