Update -- Coming off the excitement of Monday’s match with Real Madrid, a 2-0 loss, the Galaxy continues the regular season against D.C. United, which is coming off a 1-1 tie Wednesday at Kansas City. The Galaxy is playing its third consecutive game without leading scorer Landon Donovan, who is competing with the national team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and will be without forward Jovan Kirovski, who was suspended two games and fined $1,000 Friday for a reckless foul in a 2-0 win over Chivas USA last Saturday. Kirovski was given a yellow card for a high elbow during a play at midfield with defender Armando Begines. D.C. United, fourth in the Eastern Conference, is led by All-Star Christian Gomez and Jaime Moreno, who each have eight goals, and teenage phenom Freddy Adu. Ben Benditson (hernia) is out for the Galaxy. Bryan Namoff (strained hip), Tim Merritt (sore foot) and David Stokes (sprained ankle) are out for D.C. United. The Galaxy is 7-0-3 at home and 12-10-2 all-time against D.C. United.
