Saints vs. Tagliabue: No Winners Here
The New Orleans Saints not only lost the game, they lost all respect in my book Monday night. As the city of New Orleans suffered yet another evacuation, quarterback Aaron Brooks complained that “traveling [to the Meadowlands] was uncalled for.”
Excuse me, Mr. Brooks, would you prefer to play in the muck and water at the Superdome? Saint Coach Jim Haslett got it right, the playing stunk. The players’ association donated $2.4 million to hurricane relief. The Saint players should be proud of that accomplishment and stop whining about their “home game” situation.

NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue dropped the ball. Having a “home game” for the Saints in New Jersey against the Giants was the most absurd thing he has done. He embarrassed himself and the NFL.
With a commissioner like Tagliabue running the NFL, it is no wonder that Los Angeles still doesn’t have a football team.
