People Need to Watch What They Say

Helene Elliott, please take the paragraph you wrote April 18 and send it to all the major sports, especially ESPN. Your comments of “dump the half-naked girls and the insulting reference to wars and warriors” should be required reading for all of those marketing morons.

While you’re at it, have the players read it (if they can) as well.

Remember Kevin Garnett’s horrible comments a couple of years ago prior to a playoff game about how it was war, and he was going to get some Uzis and AK-47s to fight to the finish? Wonderful role model. Can we ban Andrei Kirilenko’s terrible “AK-47” nickname and change it to something else, like “One-Night Stand”? Look how far we’ve fallen.
