Fleet Indian has been unbeatable since joining Todd Pletcher’s stable.

The 5-year-old Indian Charlie mare, owned by Paul Saylor, has won four consecutive starts, three in graded stakes, by a combined 26 3/4 lengths for Pletcher. Before starting her roll for the country’s leading trainer, Fleet Indian had won two in a row for former trainers Jim Toner and Cliff Sise Jr.

A New York-bred who has won 11 of 16 overall, Fleet Indian will try for her first Grade I win against only four opponents in the $400,000 Personal Ensign today at Saratoga.

In two previous races, Saratoga has not been kind to Fleet Indian. She finished fifth, more than 14 lengths back, in her first start over the track in the 2004 Alabama, then was last in an allowance race on Aug. 5, 2005.
