Peyton Manning picked apart the New Orleans defense during three scoring drives Saturday night to lead the Indianapolis Colts to a 27-14 exhibition victory over the New Orleans Saints at Jackson, Miss.

Manning threw for 125 yards and a touchdown to Reggie Wayne in the first quarter alone. He later led a methodical 13-play, 74-yard drive that ended with rookie Joseph Addai’s one-yard touchdown run. That gave the Colts a 17-0 lead they carried into halftime.

New Orleans rookie Reggie Bush never broke free on a big run. He spun and danced his way through runs of 14 and eight yards in the third quarter, but he also lost a fumble on the Colts’ 27, stopping a potential scoring drive. Bush finished with 22 yards rushing in five carries and 20 yards receiving in five catches.
