Brenden Morrow had a goal and an assist, Marty Turco made 23 saves and the host Dallas Stars defeated the Nashville Predators, 2-1, Wednesday night for their sixth consecutive victory.

Martin Erat scored in the third period, and Tomas Vokoun stopped 21 shots for the Predators, who lost their third game in a row.

New Jersey 5, Ottawa 3 -- Zach Parise, Grant Marshall and Jamie Langenbrunner scored first-period goals at East Rutherford, N.J., and the Devils ended a franchise-record 154-minute five-second scoring drought.

Columbus 2, Calgary 1 -- Marc Denis made 36 saves in regulation and two more in the shootout at Calgary, Canada.

After the game, the Flames announced they had traded center Steven Reinprecht and backup goalie Philippe Sauve to the Phoenix Coyotes for goalie Brian Boucher and left wing Mike Leclerc.

New York Rangers 3, Pittsburgh 1 -- Steve Rucchin turned Sidney Crosby’s early turnover into a short-handed goal, and Henrik Lundqvist made 24 saves to lead the Rangers at New York.

Crosby, playing despite being bothered by flu symptoms, had his pass at the New York blue line intercepted by Rucchin, who skated in alone and scored on Marc-Andre Fleury only 4:05 into the game.

The Penguins lost for the 13th time in 14 games (1-12-1).

Detroit 3, St. Louis 2 -- Henrik Zetterberg scored the tiebreaking goal with 3:55 remaining to lift the host Red Wings.

Manny Legace made 29 saves.
