Teen Killed, 3 Hurt in Head-On Crash
A 16-year-old was killed late Friday when the car she was riding in crashed head-on with another car, the California Highway Patrol said.
The coroner’s office identified her as Marchessa Vickers of Lancaster. She was pronounced dead at Antelope Valley Hospital.
Vickers was riding in a Plymouth heading north on 110th Street West about 11:10 p.m. when the driver crossed over the double yellow lines into the path of a Jeep Cherokee, said Officer Francisco Villalobos.
The driver of the Plymouth and another passenger sustained moderate injuries.
The driver of the Jeep was not hurt, but his passenger had minor injuries.
