The $750,000 American Oaks is today’s richest race at Hollywood Park, but the 1 1/4 -mile turf contest for 3-year-old fillies isn’t the only Grade I on the program.

Nearly three hours before the Oaks is run for the fifth time, the $300,000 Vanity will have its 65th renewal, and immediately after the Oaks, the $300,000 Triple Bend Invitational Handicap will be run for the 55th time.

Seven older fillies and mares are scheduled to go 1 1/8 miles in the Vanity, including Proposed, who will be trying for her fifth victory without a loss in Inglewood.

The 121-pound highweight in the seven-furlong Triple Bend is Siren Lure, who has won eight of 12 since the start of 2005. The Triple Bend is part of a pick six with a guaranteed pool of $1 million. The other stakes are the $250,000 American Invitational Handicap, a Grade II at 1 1/8 miles on turf, and the $100,000 Flawlessly for 3-year-old fillies at one mile on turf.

Race of the day: Remarkable News, who has won five of seven, seeks his fourth win in a row in the $100,000 Poker Handicap at Belmont Park. Javier Castellano will ride the 4-year-old in the Grade III at seven furlongs on grass.

One for the road: Stars Of The Sea ran well in his comeback race on the Arlington Park turf course June 4 and can beat a so-so field of maidens in his Churchill Downs debut in the fourth race today. Shaun Bridgmohan will ride the 3-year-old Gulch gelding in the $50,000 race at 1 1/16 miles.
