Police Seek Assailant in Shooting of Lawyer
A lawyer remained in critical condition Tuesday after being shot in the head in front of his West Adams home, officials said.
Roni J. Hardy, 49, was wounded about 11:45 p.m. Monday near West 24th and Cimarron streets, said Kevin Maiberger of the Los Angeles Police Department’s media relations office.
“Another man walked up and shot him in the head,” Maiberger told City News Service. Investigators were unsure of a motive, Maiberger said.
Hardy, a Pepperdine University graduate, has been a member of the state bar since 1992.
