Vandeweghe Won’t Return

DENVER — The Denver Nuggets will not extend the contract of General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe, the first of what could be numerous changes for a team that lost in the first round of the playoffs.
The announcement came four days after Denver was eliminated from the playoffs in the first round for the third straight year -- this time by the Clippers in five games. The Nuggets lost eight of nine, including the postseason, after clinching their first division title in 18 years.
