Chris Henry ran for 94 yards and two touchdowns on a school-record 35 carries and Arizona limited No. 25 Washington State to 45 yards rushing in the Wildcats’ 27-17 victory on Saturday at Pullman, Wash.

Arizona, 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the Pacific 10 Conference, entered the game last in the conference, averaging 71.4 yards rushing. But Henry and Mike Thomas kept the ground game going at critical moments to give Arizona 116 yards rushing.

Arizona quarterback Willie Tuitama returned after sitting out two games because of a concussion, completing 10 of 17 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown, with an interception.

“We went in trying to run the ball a little bit more,” Arizona Coach Mike Stoops said. “We wanted to shorten the game a little bit because they had been moving the ball pretty much at will on people.”

Wildcats defenders helped set up one score by forcing a fumble and they sacked Alex Brink four times.

Washington State (6-4, 4-3) trailed, 20-10, at the half and Brink was without his best receivers, Jason Hill and Michael Bumpus, who sat out the second half because of ankle injuries.

“I don’t know why, I just think they were not focused,” Washington State Coach Bill Doba said of his players.

No. 24 Oregon 34, Washington 14 -- Jonathan Stewart ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns as the Ducks (7-2, 4-2) rolled up 316 yards on the ground and defeated the Huskies (4-6, 2-5) at Eugene, Ore.

Patrick Chung opened the scoring with a 59-yard punt return for a touchdown and had an interception for Oregon.

Dennis Dixon completed 14 of 25 passes for 109 yards for the Ducks, but the Huskies capitalized on his two interceptions for their only scores.

Oregon State 44, Arizona State 10 -- Yvenson Bernard rushed for two touchdowns, Matt Moore accounted for two scores and the Beavers (6-3, 4-2) routed the Sun Devils (5-4, 2-4) at Corvallis, Ore.

The Beavers scored on their first five possessions and showed no signs of any letdown coming off their upset win over USC. Moore completed 17 of 31 passes for 282 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Wheat-Brown that put Oregon State up, 24-7, with 9:52 left in the first half.
