UC Santa Barbara (2-0) at Nevada Las Vegas (2-0), 7:30 -- Junior guard Alex Harris, named Big West player of the week last week, has averaged 23 points in the Gauchos’ first two games. Santa Barbara is without injured guard Cecil Brown and senior forward Glenn Turner, but the Gauchos can start 3-0 for the first time since 1994.

UC Irvine (2-2) at Oregon (3-0), 8 -- The Anteaters opened the season with four games in five days -- a stretch that ended Tuesday with a 67-52 victory over two-time defending NIT champion South Carolina. Oregon’s Tajuan Porter scored a school freshman-record 38 points and set a school record with 10 three-pointers Sunday. He is averaging 31 points a game.

Cal State Bakersfield (0-1) at Long Beach State (1-1), 7:30 -- Guard Aaron Nixon averaged 18 points and eight rebounds and forward Sterling Byrd averaged 18 points as Long Beach split its games in the College Basketball Experience tournament at Stanford.

New Mexico State (1-0) at Loyola Marymount (1-1), CSTV, 7:30 -- It’s the first meeting between the schools since the Lions defeated the Aggies, 111-92, in the first round of the 1990 NCAA tournament. The Lions shot a woeful 20.5% Monday in a 61-37 loss to Mississippi State. Matthew Knight leads LMU with 16.5 points and eight rebounds a game.

No. 19 USC (1-0) at South Dakota State (1-0), 5 -- The Trojans, 85-50 winners over Long Beach State last week in their Galen Center debut, open a two-game trip against the Jackrabbits before facing seventh-ranked and defending Big Ten champion Ohio State on Sunday at Columbus.
