Update -- Goaltender Dan Cloutier could hardly be blamed for the Kings’ debacle that was the 6-1 loss to Colorado on Monday. The Avalanche scored three goals with a two-man advantage and another when a puck deflected off the jaw of Milan Hejduk. “Shots were coming from everywhere, even off a face,” Cloutier told reporters after the game. Still, Cloutier, who is owed another $6.2 million the next two seasons, has horrible on-ice numbers thus far. He has a 3.73 goals-against average and .878 save percentage. Of goaltenders who have played at least four games, only the New York Islanders’ Rick DiPietro and Phoenix’s Curtis Joseph have a higher goals-against average, while Chicago’s Manny Legace and Florida’s Ed Belfour are the only ones with lower save percentages. The Kings have scored only one goal in five of their last seven games. Meanwhile, forward Lauri Tukonen scored two goals Saturday for Manchester, the Kings’ American Hockey League team. Marian Gaborik, the Wild’s top offensive player, is out 10 to 14 days because of a strained groin.
