Teenage Girl Killed in Apparent Gang Shooting

A teenager was killed Thursday in what police described as a gang-related shooting.
Authorities had not identified her, though they estimated her age as 13 to 19.
The shooting occurred about 3:15 p.m. as the victim walked with two male companions in an alley in the 300 block of East Pine Street. The men were detained for questioning.
The victim was shot several times in the head and upper torso, and died at a hospital.
