Traffic Delayed After Big Rig Spills Nails on 210
From Times Staff Reports
A big rig overturned Sunday on the 210 Freeway, spilling more than 10,000 nails on the road and delaying traffic for several hours as workers cleaned up the mess, officials said.
The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. east of Orange Grove Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball. The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
He was under investigation on suspicion of drunk driving, Kimball said.
