Police make arrests in fatal hit-and-run
Two San Fernando Valley women were arrested in the hit-and-run accident in Burbank last Friday that killed a 77-year-old pedestrian.
Police on Thursday arrested Soledad Lamb, 45, of Panorama City on suspicion of felony hit-and-run with a fatality, with bail set at $1 million. Also arrested was Catherine Salazar, 28, of Reseda, on suspicion of being an accessory. Her bail was set at $500,000.
They will be arraigned Monday in Superior Court.
Esperanza Medina of Burbank died after being struck by a van at Olive Avenue and Beachwood Drive.
To try to find more witnesses, Burbank police said they would stop traffic in the area from 6 to 8 a.m. today.
