* at New York 7, Kansas City 1: Alex Rodriguez had one hit in three at-bats and remained at 499 career homers. He hasn’t homered in 28 at-bats since July 25 against the Royals -- the Yankees have scored 49 runs in their last five games anyway. Chien-Ming Wang (13-5) is 10-1 in his last 13 starts.
* Baltimore 3, at Tampa Bay 1: Aubrey’s Huff’s three-run homer off James Shields (8-7) gave the Orioles a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning. It was his first homer since June 29. The Orioles improved to 22-17 since Dave Trembley took over as manager on June 18. The Devil Rays are 8-27 since June 25.
* Chicago 7, at Detroit 4: Juan Uribe hit his third career grand slam to help the White Sox top the Tigers.
* at Toronto 6, Texas 4: The Blue Jays have outscored opponents, 41-9, during their six-game winning streak.
* Cleveland 5, at Minnesota 2: Grady Sizemore homered and had four RBIs to help the Indians.
* Seattle 7, Boston 4: Yuniesky Betancourt drove in four runs for the Mariners.
* at Oakland 8, Angels 4: Vladimir Guerrero’s second consecutive two-homer game isn’t enough.
