OCTA to cut day’s fares to celebrate anniversary
From Times Staff Reports
For one day, bus fares will be reduced to 35 cents Friday in recognition of the Orange County Transportation Authority’s 35th anniversary, officials said.
Longtime riders and drivers, some who have ridden or driven a bus since OCTA’s creation on Sept. 1, 1972, will be recognized at an 11 a.m. ceremony at the Fullerton train station.
A specially decorated birthday bus will also provide free rides on various routes through September.
