Christine Daniels’ Week 13 predictions for a league that just market-tested “Throwback Thursday,” when millions of NFL fans first heard the news that the Cowboys beat the Packers by radio, word of mouth or telegraph . . .

49ers over Panthers

* The Panthers are winless in their last seven home games, including last week’s 31-6 defeat against New Orleans. The 49ers are undefeated in their last six overtime games, including last week’s 37-31 triumph at Arizona. This pick is obvious: 49ers in overtime.

Colts over Jaguars

* Two points difficult not to belabor: 1) The Jaguars are 1-5 in games played at Indianapolis. 2) This season’s most important AFC South game won’t be seen in SoCal because that CBS time slot has gone to the 6-5 Chargers at the 4-7 Chiefs.

Chargers over Chiefs

* In last week’s episode of “Chiefs On Demand,” SoCal fans watched Kansas City rookie Kolby Smith rush for 150 yards because the Chiefs were playing the Raiders. Reaction in CBS Sports executive offices: We have a hit on our hands!

Dolphins over Jets

* Highway sign posted just outside the home locker room at Dolphin Stadium reads: “Last chance for a victory until 2008. Better fill up while you can.”

Vikings over Lions

* Eli Manning and his three interceptions-for-Vikings-touchdowns are gone, Jon Kitna is in. Vikings fans call that an unfortunate development at the quarterback position.

Buccaneers over Saints

* NFC at a glance: With the Cowboys and the Packers already done with their Week 13 game, the best NFC team playing this Sunday is Tampa Bay.

Eagles over Seahawks

* One reason why you can say that about Tampa Bay and not Philadelphia: Jeff Garcia.

Rams over Falcons

* For St. Louis, getting the ball to fit-again Steven Jackson is not the key. Getting the ball from the center to Gus Frerotte is the key.

Browns over Cardinals

* With five games left and a wild card still within grasp, the Cardinals make a move for the stretch drive: They sign 12-year veteran punter Mitch Berger.

Titans over Texans

* The last time these teams played, Tennessee’s Rob Bironas kicked eight field goals in a 38-36 Titans victory. Let’s see him do it again.

Redskins over Bills

* A moment of silence for Sean Taylor.

Broncos over Raiders

* At last, Broncos are forced to stop kicking the ball to Devin Hester.

Bears over Giants

* Eli Manning travels to Chicago to seek career advice from Rex Grossman.

Steelers over Bengals

* NFL “No, Really, It’s Not A Typo” stat of the year: Steelers 3, Dolphins 0.

Patriots over Ravens

* Moments before kickoff, Ravens Coach Brian Billick scans his locker room and realizes he is one player away from scoring an upset. That player is A.J. Feeley.
