* at Dallas 108, Phoenix 105: Dirk Nowitzki scored 31 points, including the Mavericks’ final eight, to help hold off the Suns, who got within one point despite trailing by 14 with 7:10 left.

* at Portland 101, Toronto 96: The Trail Blazers have won nine in a row for the first time since 2001-02, as Brandon Roy led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

* at Atlanta 117, Miami 111 (OT): The Heat not only lost the game in overtime but may have lost backup center Alonzo Mourning (torn knee tendon) for the rest of the season.
