Stanford is good to the last shot in edging Virginia, 76-75
Lawrence Hill made a driving floater with nine-tenths of a second to play Sunday night, producing the 14th lead change in a game that was close throughout and giving Stanford a 76-75 victory against Virginia at Charlottesville, Va.
The Cardinal (9-4) trailed, 75-74, after Virginia’s J.R. Reynolds made one of two free throws with 9.4 seconds left. But they inbounded the ball, got it to Hill in the corner and he drove, making a short jumper.
The loss was the first in nine games for Virginia (9-4) in its new arena, and happened despite Sean Singletary’s 24 points.
Robin Lopez led Stanford with 15 points

Louisiana State forward Glen Davis was taken to the hospital for evaluation after being in an automobile accident early Sunday morning only hours after the Tigers’ victory over Connecticut.
Coach John Brady said Davis was released after being examined.
Davis left the arena to get something to eat when his car was broadsided by a driver who apparently ran a stop sign, Brady said.
Doctors told Brady that Davis’ right side, ribs and knees will be sore.
