Road crew finds human remains in two spots
A man’s dismembered body has been found off a remote desert road north of Twentynine Palms.
A road crew found the body about 2 p.m. Tuesday near a bush on Amboy Road about 25 miles from Twentynine Palms Highway, Cindy Beavers, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, said Wednesday. The body had been there at least a week, she said. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
The same crew also found human remains Wednesday, about two miles away, but investigators have not determined whether the two finds are connected, officials said.
