Wildfire threatens 600 dwellings

With dozens of homes and cabins destroyed by an 81-square-mile wildfire, crews worked to protect hundreds of others tucked in the hills of Kenai Peninsula.
The fire threatens 600 more residences and cabins, officials said, and an unknown number of residents have ignored an evacuation order.
