Two people died in a house fire in Pasadena early Saturday, authorities said.
The fire at the two-story house on Yale Street was reported about 2:30 a.m., said Lisa Derderian, a spokeswoman with the Pasadena Fire Department.
Firefighters battling the blaze found the bodies of a 39-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman on the second floor of the home, Derderian said.
There were 11 people on the first floor at the time, including several who were visiting from Fresno for the Thanksgiving holiday, Derderian said.
One female occupant was taken to a hospital a short time later with abdominal pain and was in stable condition, Derderian said.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the survivors with housing and offer crisis counseling, she said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
