Fire probe looks at conditions at plant
From Times Wire Reports
Federal investigators focused on working conditions and safety procedures inside the hydroelectric plant tunnel in Georgetown where five workers died after a fire erupted on the equipment they were using to apply epoxy and paint to the inside of tunnel.
Autopsies were pending, but authorities believed smoke and fumes from Tuesday’s fire killed the workers. Communication from the crew ended about an hour after the fire broke out.
