Re “Tough words on lost badges,” Aug. 16
Forty-two lost badges? Totally absurd!
I certainly hope the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is able to make a case on at least one (if not all) of these thieving rich kids who bought their way into former Sheriff Michael Carona’s empire. The question will be, how strong is the present sheriff, and the criminal justice system itself, in that corruption-ridden county? Will these spoiled brats be able to buy their way out of a theft charge?
