2 men killed in separate attacks

Two men were killed in separate shootings in the Compton area Sunday.
The first killing occurred at 5:45 a.m. in the 15500 block of Gibson Avenue in East Rancho Dominguez, an unincorporated area east of Compton. The man, who was not identified, was shot multiple times, said Sgt. David Infante of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
The second slaying occurred about 4:30 p.m. when a 40-year-old man was shot in the 900 block of West Magnolia Street, near Compton Boulevard. His identity was not released. There was no indication that the shootings were related.
