LOGAN, Utah -- Tai Wesley scored 24 points and Gary Wilkinson added 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Utah State past UC Santa Barbara, 72-59, on Friday night.

Jaycee Carroll also scored 15 for the Aggies (19-9, 8-4 Big West).

James Powell and Alex Harris scored 20 points apiece to lead the Gauchos (20-7, 9-5).

After falling behind by 10 points early in the second half, Santa Barbara got within 51-48 with 6:16 to play. But three quick fastbreak baskets by Wesley and Wilkinson and free throws by Carroll pushed the Aggies back ahead by double digits.

Carroll, shooting 52.8% from the field and better than 50% on three-point shots before the game, made only five of 13 shots with one three-pointer.
