Fullerton routs UC Riverside

Junior guard Josh Akognon scored a game-high 30 points to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 77-47 victory over UC Riverside in a Big West Conference game Monday night at Riverside.

Senior forward Scott Cutley added 11 points, and senior guard Frank Robinson scored 10 to help lead the Titans, 9-4 overall and 2-0 in the Big West, to their second straight win.

In a losing effort, sophomore guard Cleavon Barlow scored a team-high 11 points, and senior guard Larry Cunningham added 10 for UC Riverside (3-11, 0-3), which lost its fifth consecutive game.

Cal State Bakersfield 98, Loyola Marymount 64 -- Demarcus Hall had a career-high 23 points to lead Bakersfield (4-12).

Loyola Marymount (3-13) never got closer than 25 points in the second half.
