Man dies in crash on 101 Freeway
A 36-year-old motorist was killed Thursday in a collision on the Hollywood Freeway involving an allegedly drunk driver, authorities said.
The man died at the scene after his Toyota Camry was struck from behind by a BMW shortly before 1 a.m. on the freeway’s southbound lanes near Normandie Avenue, said California Highway Patrol Officer David Porter.
The BMW driver, a 29-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, said Officer Alex Delgadillo of the CHP’s Central Los Angeles Division.
