Worker killed at construction site
A construction worker fell to his death Wednesday while working on a South Los Angeles building, fire officials said.
The 53-year-old man, whose name was not released pending family notification, was helping to put a concrete roof on a building at 28th Street and South Grand Avenue when he fell approximately 40 feet.
He died at the construction site about 3:20 p.m., officials said.
Cal/OSHA and the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the death.
