A 25-year-old man was killed and another critically injured Saturday when the vehicle they were riding in crashed, police said.

Daniel Levian, of Beverly Hills, died of “multiple blunt force injuries,” according to the autopsy performed Monday, said Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Investigations Division.

Police are considering alcohol as a factor in the wreck, said Sgt. Jay Kim of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The driver, Sam A. Moghimi, who suffered moderate injuries in the crash, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, Kim said.

Another passenger was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition, he said.

Police arrived at the 1100 block of North Hillcrest Drive about 8:25 p.m. and found that the vehicle had been traveling north, Kim said. No other vehicle was involved in the accident, Kim said. Levian was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:30 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
