Toronto 5-7, at Baltimore 1-1: Roy Halladay scattered seven hits over seven innings, helping the Blue Jays “sweep” the Orioles with a 7-1 victory that followed a 5-1 win in the completion of a game suspended Wednesday because of rain. Halladay (12-7) lowered his ERA to 2.82. A.J. Burnett, who gave up one run in five innings Wednesday, was the winner in the suspended game.
at Kansas City 4, Tampa Bay 2: Gil Meche pitched seven scoreless innings after a shaky start, and Rays starter Matt Garza (8-6) dropped to 0-4 in five starts against the Royals in his career.
