Bryant’s Bronx cheer

Share

Kobe Bryant uncorked his own fastball Wednesday.

When asked what he thought of Curt Schilling’s blog entry that criticized his aggressive on-court demeanor toward teammates, Bryant had two words for the Red Sox pitcher.

“Go Yankees,” he said, drawing laughter from reporters after practice.

Schilling sat courtside in Boston for Game 2 of the NBA Finals and later wrote that he was surprised how angry Bryant seemed to be toward his teammates.

Bryant eventually talked more about the blog entry, saying he didn’t worry that he was too hard on teammates.

“No, they’re used to it, and we all have thick skin around here on the team,” Bryant said. “That’s just how we are -- we’re brutally honest with each other. Our team is built for that. We all love it.”
