FANTASY FORECAST

There might not be an NFL team that plays locally, but let’s face it, thousands of us have fantasy league rosters that we draft and manage. Each week, Times NFL writer Sam Farmer will offer a few tips to the wise:

PLAY HIM

-- Sam Farmer

*--* Drew Brees QB, New Orleans Even when he’s off, he’s on. He passed for more than 400 yards in last Sunday’s loss. Brian Westbrook RB, Philadelphia He’s dinged up, but isn’t he always? He’s also as valuable to his team as any player in the league. Larry Fitzgerald WR, Arizona He should have a big day against Seattle’s undersized cornerbacks. BENCH HIM Sage Rosenfels QB, Houston Colts’ Bob Sanders has to be licking his chops to face a quarterback who had four picks last week. Ryan Grant RB, Green Bay Grant has run for just two touchdowns this season, and has gained 100 yards only once. Chad Ocho Cinco WR, Cincinnati Other than scoring two touchdowns last Sunday, he has struggled with his productivity. GIVE HIM A CHANCE Tyler Thigpen With six touchdowns over the last three games, Thigpen is tuned up for a Saints defense missing QB, Kansas City Mike McKenzie. DeAngelo Williams RB, Carolina He’s averaged 18 carries over the last three games, twice rushing for more than 100 yards. Terrell Owens T.O. loves his quarterback -- at least the one everyone recognizes. So with Tony Romo back, it WR, Dallas could mean big things. *--*
