Update -- The Kings end a four-game homestand tonight. They have lost to San Jose and rallied to defeat the Ducks and Hurricanes. Jason LaBarbera (2.48 goals-against average, .911 save percentage) will start his fifth straight game for the Kings. The Avalanche has split its goaltending duties between newcomer Andrew Raycroft (.875 save percentage in two games) and Peter Budaj (.824 in three games). Joe Sakic and Paul Stastny share the team scoring lead, each with a goal and eight points. Colorado ranks last in the NHL in penalty killing at 69.6% efficiency (seven power-play goals against in 23 disadvantages).
