Not-guilty plea in crash that killed 4
A 19-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to charges of gross vehicular manslaughter stemming from an auto collision that killed four people in Los Angeles last week.
Rostislav Dimittryi Shnayder entered his plea in Superior Court on Tuesday. Bail was set at $200,000.
Police say Shnayder was speeding Wednesday when his Mitsubishi Eclipse hit a Nissan Maxima driven by Cristyn Cordova, 19, who was pregnant. Cordova’s car then hit a tree.
The fiery accident killed Cordova, her 16-year-old sister, 15-year-old brother and a 19-year-old man. Cordova’s boyfriend was critically injured.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 10.
