Authorities Tuesday identified a 30-year-old man who died last weekend when his Lamborghini veered off the 101 Freeway, crashed into a parking structure and burst into flames.

Michael Rosenaur of Calabasas died from burns caused by the fire, said Los Angeles County coroner’s investigator Jerry McKibben. A toxicology test that will show whether he was under the influence is pending, he said.

In an e-mail to The Times, a friend said Rosenaur was a boxing trainer who had just purchased a new lime green Lamborghini last week.

Witnesses had reported that the car was speeding west on the 101 past Topanga Canyon Boulevard just before the accident occurred about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Lamborghinis can cost well into six figures and are considered among the world’s premier high-performance cars.
