NASHVILLE -- The Tennessee Titans remained perfect in their best start since their lone Super Bowl appearance. The Houston Texans? Well, at least they got back on a football field.

LenDale White ran for two touchdowns, Kerry Collins threw for another and Tennessee rolled over the Texans, 31-12, to improve to 3-0 for only the third time in franchise history.

The Titans last won their first three games in 1999 -- their first season in their current stadium -- and in 1991 while still in Houston and playing as the Oilers. They now have beaten the team that replaced them in Houston seven straight times and 11 of the 13 games in the series.

The Texans (0-2) wanted to provide an emotional boost to their hometown, where many people remain without power more than a week after Hurricane Ike hit. The hurricane forced the postponement of the Texans’ home opener.

Quoteworthy: “It’s a long way to go, but 3-0 is a good start.” -- Jevon Kearse, Titans defensive end
