Grady Sizemore powers Indians over Royals

at Cleveland 5, Kansas City 2: Grady Sizemore greeted reliever Ron Mahay with a tiebreaking, three-run homer in the eighth inning for the Indians. Royals starter Gil Meche had retired 16 straight batters and took a 2-1 lead into the eighth.

at Baltimore 6, Chicago 2: Adam Eaton took a four-hitter into the eighth inning to earn his first victory for the Orioles, who roughed up former Angel Bartolo Colon. Colon gave up five runs, eight hits and two walks in three innings, his shortest start since July 23, 2007.

at Toronto 5, Texas 2: Alex Rios hit a two-run homer, Vernon Wells and Lyle Overbay also connected for the Blue Jays. Josh Hamilton and Chris Davis hit solo shots for Texas, which has hit a major league-leading 29 home runs this season. Toronto is second with 28.

at Angels 10, Detroit 5: Matt Palmer pitched into the seventh inning to earn his first major league victory and Torii Hunter hit a go-ahead home run.
