Update: Still seeking its first victory of 2009 after a loss and three ties, the Galaxy travels to Colorado to take on a Rapids team that already has defeated the Galaxy twice this season -- once in league play and once on penalty kicks in the U.S. Open Cup. The Galaxy has not won a regular-season game at Colorado since July 13, 2002, an 11-game span. It is also 0-3 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, where it has been outscored, 8-0, in three losses. The Rapids are paced offensively by forward Conor Casey, the league’s joint-leading scorer with four goals. The Galaxy, as a team, has scored only five goals. The Galaxy is coming off a 1-1 tie at San Jose that Coach Bruce Arena called “encouraging,” adding that his players “showed a lot of character and some quality at times.”
