Washington wins third straight, beats Devils, 4-1
Washington —
Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom each had a goal and two assists to help Washington beat the New Jersey Devils, 4-1, on Saturday night, giving the Capitals a one-point lead in the overall NHL standings.
Rookie goalie Michal Neuvirth won his third straight start, making 29 saves, and Mike Green and Matt Bradley also had goals for Washington.
Rod Pelley scored for New Jersey.
