Big East: Miami makes quick work of South Florida

No. 19 Miami 31, at South Florida 10: Javarris James rushed for two touchdowns, Jacory Harris threw for two more, and the Hurricanes took a big early lead on the way to beating the Bulls. Dedrick Epps and Leonard Hankerson caught touchdown passes for Miami (9-3), which ran out to a 21-3 halftime lead and capped its first nine-win regular season since 2005. Damien Berry rushed for 114 yards and Graig Cooper had 83 more for Miami, which played without ill left tackle Jason Fox and still rolled. The Bulls fell to 7-28 all-time when giving up at least 31 points and 10-2 against teams from the state of Florida, with both those losses against Miami.

at Connecticut 56, Syracuse 31: The tailback tandem of Jordan Todman and Andre Dixon combined for 196 yards rushing and four touchdowns as the Huskies beat the Orange to become bowl-eligible. Todman ran for 123 yards and a score, and Dixon had three touchdowns and 73 yards rushing. Greg Paulus threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns in his final game for Syracuse.
