CALIFORNIA BRIEFING / SANTA ANA
An auto mechanic has been convicted of luring several women into the shop’s repair pit and sexually assaulting them, prosecutors said Tuesday.
A jury found Adrian Montano Fuerte, 39, of Tustin guilty Monday of one felony count of rape and one felony count of assault with intent to commit rape. He was also convicted of misdemeanor counts of battery.
Fuerte worked at Econo Lube N’ Tune in Garden Grove in 2007. Prosecutors said Fuerte lured five women into the shop’s repair pit, then sexually assaulted them.
